About Meadow Walk at Lynnfield

Meadow Walk at Lynnfield is the redevelopment of a portion of the Lynnfield Colonial golf course site. A joint venture between National Development, a Newton, Massachusetts-based interdisciplinary real estate company, and Pyramid Advisors, a Boston-based full-service hotel company, this development has been master planned by the architectural firms of Elkus|Manfredi Architects and Spagnolo/Gisness & Associates, Inc. to create a “Main Street” shopping experience along with a luxury residential community that helps to address the Town’s long term housing goals. Also on site are the existing 280-room Sheraton Hotel and the newly renovated Boston Sports Club.

The proposed development of Meadow Walk at Lynnfield is consistent with goals identified by the Town of Lynnfield in its Master Plan. Meadow Walk will enhance the special character of Lynnfield by providing an exciting new amenity for Town residents. In addition, Meadow Walk will generate a major, long-term fiscal benefit to the Town and help the Town in proactively managing its affordable housing needs.

  • Meadow Walk is planned to include a mix of high-end specialty retailers, small offices and restaurants along with housing.
  • Approximately 68 acres of the 202-acre site will be developed with about 103 acres deeded to the Town of Lynnfield as permanent open space.
  • The zoning changes approved by the Town will allow the development to proceed under a very strict set of design standards approved by Town Meeting.
  • The zoning establishes 200 foot “no build” buffer zones along Walnut Street.  The closest planned retail shop is over 450 feet from Walnut Street and the closest planned residence is more than 600 feet. The buffer is measured from the rear property line of Walnut Street residences.
  • Meadow Walk is committed to mitigating new traffic generated by the project and solving existing problems.
  • Sustainable design elements will be incorporated to create an environmentally responsible and economically efficient place to live, work, shop and play.
  • Meadow Walk is committed to enhancing the special character of Lynnfield for all of its residents.
